Anti-Psalm 119 (Teth)

The suffering of my life seems so unfair, Lord,
     and not what I signed up for.
How can I progress in life
     when each day is a battle?
Before affliction, I was comfortable and happy,
     able to live my life to the fullest.
Things were good. I was good;
     what must I change to get it all back?
The pity of the righteous wearies me,
     with my whole heart I want this to stop;
or at least, not to hurt so much,
     my delights are all past.
Affliction is meaningless,
     it teaches me nothing.
Comfort is better to me
     than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
