Anti-Psalm 93

I rule over my life, I am robed in anxiety;
clothed by nervous energy; uncertainty my belt.
Yes, my life is established, but it can always be moved.
My rule is established by my competence, as fleeting as my attention.

Worldly cares rise up to me,
calling for my attention;
demanding my energies.
I am overwhelmed,
distracted and incapable;
my rule, tenuous.

I feign control,
projecting confidence—
fooling everyone but myself.
